Technology for circular hospitality

DETROIT DECONTAMINATED is developing the software layer needed to connect food production, recovery logistics, and sustainability reporting.

The current platform concept includes an integrated operator dashboard, recovery-routing functionality, and diversion analytics — designed to move food recovery from an anecdotal activity to a measurable operating system.

Module 01

Operator Dashboard

Operators need visibility into what is happening inside their kitchens. The dashboard is designed to help track production, surplus, overproduction, waste, recovery activity, location trends, and historical patterns.

Module 02

Waste Prevention Intelligence

Historical operating data can reveal patterns that are difficult to see shift by shift. If a kitchen consistently prepares significantly more of a product than guests consume, the platform can help identify that pattern — creating an opportunity to adjust purchasing, prep quantities, production schedules, and menu planning before surplus occurs.

Module 03

Recovery Routing

When surplus cannot be prevented, the next question becomes: where should it go? The platform is being designed to help coordinate available recovery pathways based on the type and condition of the material.

Module 04

Diversion Analytics

Operators should be able to understand what their recovery programs are actually accomplishing. Reporting can eventually include food prevented from becoming waste, food redistributed, food used in upcycled production, organics composted, total diversion, recovery trends, and performance by location.

Sustainability Reporting

Recovery results, ready to communicate.

The system is intended to make recovery results easier to communicate to the people who need them.
